The country superstar has received a citation for assault early this morning outside a church in Plano, Texas, E! News has learned.
The good news? Unlike his previous term ins with the law as his arrest for driving while intoxicated earlier this month, and in his birthday suit, no less!-Travis seems to have been clean and sober.
According to ABC News, Travis floundered amid a dispute between an ex-husband and the woman who is physical.
The musician was not detained. Instead, the agents of the scene he wrote and released. It does not appear that anyone was actually injured in the altercation is because the parties declined transport to a local hospital.
Plano spokesman Police Heather Bowden subsequently confirmed to E! News that the singer of 53 years has received a citation Class C, the mildest form of citation, and was summoned to appear in Municipal Court, but no word on a date yet. She also added that, contrary to reports TMZ, authorities do not know if Randy was drunk during the incident, which had fallen to 1 h

A representative of Travis was not available for comment.
Today's incident is the latest in a series of troubles for the "Stranger in My Mirror" singer. Aside from his bare chest, the other week, Travis was established in Dallas in February for public drunkenness after the cops would have found drunk in a parking lot after midnight with a bottle of wine.
That came five months after the artist besieged collapsed on stage, supposedly due to a bad reaction to meds allergies. And it is also on the receiving end of a complaint filed by his ex-wife and former manager, Elizabeth Travis, who alleged that he did not meet the terms of their contract management post-divorce.
