Friday John Witherspoon star certainly had an eventful Thursday.
The veteran actor has quickly become quite the topic on Twitter after "RIP John Witherspoon" started a trend.
Fortunately, the comic 70 years is very much alive, with his sense of humor intact.

"What the hell y'all fighting talk here?!?" Witherspoon first tweeted after the rumor began. "I'm not" DEAD "I'm in Fort Lauderdale at Cafe Hard Rock Paper Getting dat."
But Witherspoon does not leave it at that and decided to use the attention to his advantage.
"Hey, since I'm # Trending y'all better follows me and spread the word:" I is not dead, "he later wrote, adding:" Hey, for the worry of YA'LL so I go look my cooking show on YouTube. "
Later, as things started to, uh, go out, Witherspoon signed up for the evening.
